First issue of Town & Country launches this week

Hearst will launch the first issue of the UK version of Town & Country on 1 May.

The front cover of the debut issue of the luxury lifestyle magazine features 'Downton Abbey' actress Lily James, as photographed by David Slijper. Inside the edition is an interview with Prince Charles by biographer Catherine Mayer; a feature from former New Statesman features editor Sophie Elmhirst on the Duchess of Cambridge; and fashion editor and writer Lydia Slater writes on the link between money and happiness.

The biannual magazine has an initial print run of 60,000 and copies will be distributed in first-class airport lounges, property agents, and high-end hotels and fashion retailers. Editorial for the magazine is put together by the team from Hearst stablemate Harper's Bazaar, and is lead by editor-in-chief Justine Picardie and group publishing director Meribeth Parker
