Flagship Consulting has been appointed to work with the Maritime Greenwich World Heritage Site to raise awareness of the destination as a tourism hotspot ahead of 2012, when it will be a host venue for the Olympic and Paralympic games.
Flagship will support the World Heritage Site Marketing Group through creative PR campaigns, social media outreach and proactive media relations to raise awareness of Greenwich as a leisure destination. Target audiences include Londoners and those in the South East, as well as national and international visitors to the capital.
The Flagship team will be led by Sophy Norris, Regional Director for Flagship Consulting South West. Sophy said: “This is a really exciting project – there is so much to see and do in Greenwich and it is home to many hidden gems that will come as a surprise even to Londoners. We’re looking forward to helping put Greenwich on the map at what is a really important time for the area.”
