Football blog Whoateallthepies has been pulled by publisher Shiny Media.

The editor, Ollie Irish announced this decision via the blog on on 3 September: “In its current form, as published by Shiny Media, Pies is no more. I won’t go into the reasons why – I’m just the editor, and the decision was not mine – but fans of the site will be happy to know that Pies may still have a future.”

Shiny Media is hoping to sell the site, and will attempt to maintain some activity on the blog until then.

Irish will be blogging for www.gridcrasher.com, a motor sports site.

Whoateallthepies covered both domestic and international football. The Shiny Media network attracts over 2.4million unique users a month.
