Former deputy editors at ITV News and The Times join BBC News
The BBC has appointed Jonathan Munro as head of newsgathering and Keith Blackmore as managing editor at BBC News.
Munro joins from ITN where he had worked for 26 years, most recently as deputy editor at ITV News. He will be in charge of the day-to-day activity and deployments of all journalists working to network news domestically and globally.
Blackmore was previously deputy editor at The Times. He left in September after 25 years at the newspaper. He will be responsible for managing editorial projects along with journalist contracts and career development.
Both are expected to commence their roles in January.
