FT appoints Adams as assistant news editor

Chris Adams, previously a leader writer, has been appointed assistant news editor.

He replaces Mark Solomons who left the paper at the end of last year to move to Australia with his family.

Adams has previously held a number of beats at the Financial Times including political correspondent, employment correspondent, economics correspondent and insurance correspondent.
