Future Publishing has announced the launch of the only official Windows 8 magazine, Windows: The Official Magazine.

The title is a multi-platform release and aims to help readers get more from their lives through technology. It showcases the best new products, explains how to use them to their full potential and reveals how they can improve lifestyle from sport to travel and entertainment to cooking.

The magazine will launch concurrently with the release of Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8.

The digital version of the publication will be available from the Windows 8 Store, a first for Future Publishing. Print pre-orders and subscriptions available here.

Editor-in-chief, Adam Ifans, said: “Good-looking, smart technology is becoming a fundamental part of all our lives. The new Official Windows 8 magazine is for everyone, not just computing enthusiasts, helping them get more from their lives through the gadgets and devices they own. Windows 8 is a step-change in the way the world interacts with computers and Microsoft’s first serious foray in to the world of tablets and Apps. Today’s technology users want content that helps them get more from their lives and that’s what we’re delivering.”
