Future to launch weekly digital photography magazine

Future, the international specialist media group, is to launch a digital magazine called Photography Week.

Photography Week will be a tablet-only, international photography magazine available on the iPad and packed with interactive content that shows readers how to improve their images and get more from their cameras.

Aimed at enthusiastic photographers, it will showcase the best international photography, feature tips and interviews with pro photographers from every continent, and offer a global audience the chance to get their images in the magazine every week.

Future said its current stable of photography magazines “already enjoy huge success on the Apple Newsstand”, with Digital Camera World said to be the best-selling digital photography magazine for the iPad.

Digital Camera World, together with the Canon-only title PhotoPlus and recent launches N-Photo and Practical Photoshop have seen more than 1.3 million container app downloads for the iPad according to Future.

Following on from this success, Photography Week has been built specifically for the iPad by the team behind Digital Camera World, using Future’s digital publishing software, Future Folio.

Photography Week will debut in mid-September, when a full free issue will be available for download from the AppStore. Visit www.facebook.com/photographyweek for more information.

More information on the title will be available on FeaturesExec closer to the launch.
