Euromoney has appointed Gaurav Sharma as editor of market insight & features at Industrial Minerals.

Sharma was previously features writer at Infrastructure Journal, where he worked for over two years. He commences his new role today.

He has over 15 years of experience in the financial and trade press having worked on all major media platforms – print, newswire, web and broadcast. Prior to Infrastructure Journal, he worked at CNBC Europe, Canadian Economic Press, Visiongain and Informa T&M.

Sharma has been running his own blog on the oil trade – Oilholics Synonymous Report (www.oilholicssynonymous.com) – since 2009, and is a regular commentator on oil markets for broadcasting outlets such as CNBC, BBC Radio, Indian, Middle Eastern and Chinese networks.

Commodities, natural resources and macroeconomics remain his core area of expertise.
