Global Radio reduces local output
Global Radio stations across the country are to reduce their local bulletins to twice a day and delocalise traffic updates, leading to some redundancies.
News updates on Global’s 71 stations, which include Capital FM and Red Dragon FM, will now come from a London feed which they hope will improve the quality of news across the group. Local news for each station will now be restricted to one minute slots at 11am and 3pm.
Traffic updates have been outsourced to UBC media in a two-year deal.
