Independent search and social marketing agency Greenlight, has appointed Anna O’Brien as director of social media.
Greenlight has seen the number of clients which it offers social media optimisation services to grow, and O’Brien will head up the integration and expansion of the agency’s current offering.
O’Brien joins Greenlight from Citibank, New York, where she served as vice president of social media and created the initial roadmap and strategy for its social media presence, integrating social technology into various aspects of the programme.
During O’Brien’s tenure, Citi became the first financial services account verified by Twitter and the first to have a custom URL shortener. O’Brien also initiated and led the bank’s robust listening programme.
