Guardian gets new business head

Dan Roberts has been named as the new head of business at The Guardian replacing Deborah Hargreaves, who has stepped down from the role.

Dan Roberts joined the Telegraph in 2006 to become the City editor before being promoted to deputy editor of the Sunday edition last year.

Previously he has worked for the Financial Times for six years in a number of roles. He has won several awards for his business reporting.

Roberts will head business coverage across The Guardian, The Observer and online.
