Head appointed for BBC radio stations in the West

BBC in the West, incorporating BBC Radio Bristol, Gloucestershire, Somerset and Wiltshire, has appointed Stephanie Marshall as head of regional and local programmes.

The former BBC Radio Bristol reporter replaces Lucio Mesquita who has been appointed director of BBC monitoring.

Marshall takes charge of a region which covers four local radio stations, plus the nightly news programme Points West, Inside Out, Sunday Politics and BBC News Online websites for the area.

She will start in the role in May.
