Herald editor resigns
Charles McGhee, editor of Glasgow-based The Herald, has resigned.
McGhee announced on Friday last week he was to leave after two and a half years as editor of The Herald and 10 years with Newsquest-owned Herald & Times Group.
He became editor of The Herald after editing its sister paper, the Evening Times, for six years. He was also consultant editor for the launch of the Sunday Herald between 1998 and 1999 and had stints as a senior executive on all three papers.
McGhee, who is on a year’s notice, will stay on as The Herald editor until his replacement is found.
