Leeds-based Hatch Communications has been appointed by The Webb Group, a UK supplier of retail home entertainment products, to launch the group’s innovative way of renting DVD and Blu-Ray titles called ‘Rent It Here’, to more than 5,000 convenience stores nationwide.

Rent It Here, developed by The Webb Group, aims to re-establish local rental in towns and cities across the UK and Ireland by introducing touch-screen Rent It Here technology into convenience stores. Customers can browse and select films from over 400 titles, while shopping for their groceries. Films can also be rented online via www.rentithere.co.uk and collected in store.

Hatch will implement a phased public relations and events programme, including a Hollywood themed launch and a number of events to support Rent It Here, which is currently available in 146 convenience stores across the UK. Activity will also include national consumer, trade and corporate public relations activity plus online activation, as Rent it Here continues to grow.
