Home-tek Europe has announced that industry journalist Simon King will be its new PR advisor, from 1 January.

King, who also handles PR for the radio, electrical and television retailer’s association (retra), as well as editing the association’s Alert magazine, runs Simon King Media, a PR/journalism consultancy. He also worked on trade title ERT for 11 years.

In addition to the Home-tek Light ‘n’ Easy floorcare range, Home-tek Europe also distributes a range of branded kitchen appliances and audio products from Clatronic. Earlier this year, Home-tek Europe was made the exclusive distributor for the Montiss range of products in the UK.

King said: “I’m delighted to add Home-tek Europe to my list of clients and look forward to working with Jamie and the team to ensure that retailers are well informed about the company’s brands and products.”
