IGN.com, the games and entertainment website, has promoted Daniel Krupa to games editor.

Krupa joined IGN from university in May 2011 and is nominated in the Rising Star category of this year’s Games Media Awards, voted for by his industry peers.

Reporting to UK editor-in-chief Alex Simmons, Krupa will oversee IGN’s day-to-day editorial planning, managing content from the UK and ensuring content from the London office gets promotion and visibility across the site. Krupa will also continue to write and host video on the site, as well as continuing his punditry work for mainstream media, including the BBC and Sky, on behalf of IGN.
