Immediate Media Co announces promotions
Immediate Media Co has made three promotions within its specialist Bristol division.
The company will see its publishing team strengthened with the promotions of Dave Musgrove and Marie Davies to the newly created positions of associate publishers, while Rob Attar will take up the role of editor of BBC History Magazine.
Previously editor of Living History Magazine, Musgrove joined BBC Magazines Bristol in 2004 as editor of BBC History Magazine.
Attar brings a strong historical background and eight years of direct experience to the role of editor on the UK’s bestselling history magazine. He graduated with a BA in History in 2003 and completed a postgraduate diploma in magazine journalism in 2004, before joining BBC History Magazine on a three-month internship. In September 2004 Rob was appointed editorial assistant of the magazine, and over the next six years was promoted to staff writer, section editor and features editor, before being appointed deputy editor in August 2010. He will take up his new role on 2 July.
Davies joined the BBC Magazines Bristol marketing team in 2004, and was promoted to head of subscriptions and direct marketing in 2009.
