Independent shares Daily Mail office

By Laihan Burr Dixon

4th December 2008

Independent News and Media’s The Independent and The Independent on Sunday are moving from their offices in Docklands, East London, to share premises with Associated Newspapers.

The Independent and its Sunday sister title, will still be editorially and commercially separate, occupying a different space from the Daily Mail, The Mail on Sunday, Evening Standard, Metro and London Lite. However, the deal will see the papers sharing back office services, such as information technology and payroll.

Independent News and Media staff will move to Northcliffe House in Kensington by the end of January 2009.
