Irish Times appoints literary editor

Fintan O’Toole has been appointed literary editor of The Irish Times.

O’Toole has been writing for the newspaper since 1988 on a wide range of cultural and political issues and will continue to write his weekly column and Culture Shock in his new role.

He succeeds the late Caroline Walsh.
