Iron Mountain, the global information management company has appointed Berkeley PR (BPR) as its lead PR agency for Europe as the company’s business interests in the region continue to grow.

The firm has moved from a multi-agency, multi-strategy PR approach to a one-agency model, with BPR at the hub, to drive efficiencies, reach and consistent messaging and unlock Pan-European thought leadership initiatives. The first thought leadership initiative took place in the form of an Information Risk Summit in Madrid on 22nd March, attended by 30 international media, industry experts, business leaders and academics.

Iron Mountain manages billions of information assets for organisations around the world including the safe storage of some of the world's most valuable artefacts and cultural treasures. BPR has held the UK account for Iron Mountain Europe for the past two years but the new remit sees BPR also driving Pan-European strategic campaign planning, content creation, in-country PR for six European markets (through the BPR 360 Network), reporting and measurement. The target audience is mid market and enterprise businesses in the legal, financial services, insurance, pharmaceutical, manufacturing and public sectors.

Adelise Ashdown, head of marketing communications and PR at Iron Mountain Europe, explains: “We recognised that we needed one PR agency that could plan and execute European PR campaigns aligned to our marketing plan, ensuring greater effectiveness and consistency of our messages across multiple markets. We wanted an agency that could grasp our vision and work well with the in-house team. Berkeley PR had demonstrated their strategic and creative abilities on our UK account. The quality of the support that we have received over recent years and their understanding of our business priorities and objectives goals made Berkeley the obvious choice for our lead agency.”

Paul Stallard, director of Berkeley PR comments: “We are absolutely delighted that we have been chosen to be the lead PR agency for Iron Mountain Europe. The team has worked extremely hard over the last two years and this latest recognition is a testament to this. Our 360 international network is going from strength to strength and we look forward to this exciting new chapter in our growth as an agency and our relationship with Iron Mountain.
