IWF Director of Communications appointed

Emma Lowther has been appointed as the new director of communications of the Internet Watch Foundation (IWF).

Lowther takes over from Sarah Robertson who joined the organisation in 2005. She began in journalism before taking communications roles at the police and in a local government communications department.

Lowther took up a contracted communications position with the IWF in April this year and will take over in the permanent director role from 5 December.
