Haymarket Motoring has appointed Jim Holder as editor of Autocar.

Holder moves from sister title What Car?, and will be responsible for realising Autocar’s ambitious plans in print and online.

“It’s an incredible honour to edit the world’s most respected car brand and I’m looking forward to shaping its future across all platforms,” said Holder.

Jim has a strong news background that has included senior roles on Autocar, Autosport and Motorsport News. Most recently, he has overseen the successful redesign of What Car? magazine, which announced a circulation increase of five per cent in the latest ABCs.
