By Laihan Burr Dixon

8th October 2010

John Cooper, joint deputy editor of Irish Daily Mail and Irish Mail on Sunday, is returning to the Scottish Daily Mail, as associate editor.

Cooper said ‘My role will encompass news and features and I am keen also to expand the paper’s comment and analysis elements. I am delighted to stay within the Associated Newspapers stable and am particularly looking forward to working again with the editor, Chris Williams, and his deputy, Alan Crow, who have together turned the Scottish Daily Mail into a real force to be reckoned with and a shining example of quality journalism.’

A start date has yet to be confirmed, but is likely to be mid-November.
