Johnston Press appoints editorial director for Yorkshire papers
The Star (Sheffield) and the Sheffield Telegraph's current editor Jeremy Clifford has been appointed editorial director of the Yorkshire publishing unit at Johnston Press.
He takes up the role on 2 September and will become editor of the Yorkshire Post and Yorkshire Evening Post.
Clifford joined The Star over two years ago and was editor of the Northamptonshire Telegraph previously.
He replaces Peter Charlton who is stepping down at the end of July after more than 40 years in the regional press.
