Kevin O’Sullivan appointed editor at the Irish Times

Former news editor Kevin O’Sullivan has been appointed as editor at the Irish Times.

He begins in his new role today and as editor will join the board of the Irish Times.

O’Sullivan will be the 13th editor, replacing Geraldine Kennedy who is leaving after nine years in the role.

He has held a number of other roles at the newspaper including night editor, special projects editor and editor of the health supplement. He has also previously worked at the Connacht Tribune and the Tuam Herald before joining the Irish Times in 1997.
