Polar explorer Mark Wood has appointed creative communications agency Life Size Media to oversee the media around his forthcoming North South Solo Expedition.

Mark is attempting to become the first person in history to solo ski both the South and North Geographic Poles consecutively. Life Size Media started promoting Mark’s epic expedition through their pro-bono work for online sponsorship platform The DoNation.

Mark explained: “I’ll be alone on the ice for six months, so it’s really great knowing that back at home I’ll have great support and a really excellent team in Life Size Media, putting out my journey to the world’s media.”

Alisa Murphy, co-founder of Life Size Media, said: “We’ve all been really inspired by Mark’s commitment to raise awareness of how climate change is affecting our planet, which lies at the heart of what we do here at Life Size Media.”

Mark leaves for Antarctica on 8 November.
