Steven Fletcher has been confirmed as the new editor of the Lincolnshire Echo.

Fletcher has been acting editor of the paper since July of this year, replacing Jon Grubb, who left to pursue new business interests.

Fletcher had been deputy editor of the Nottingham Post since April 2010.
