Liverpool Echo appoint health reporter
The Liverpool Echo has appointed Caroline Innes as health reporter.
Innes, who joins the title on January 21, is currently a general reporter on morning sister paper the Liverpool Daily Post.
The Daily Post has appointed trainee Ben Schofield, and reporter Richard Down, formally of the Cheshire Chronicle, to the news team.
The staff changes follow the departure of the Daily Post’s veteran city editor Larry Neild in November. Neild will join new Merseyside radio station City Talk in the drivetime slot when the station launches later this month.
The Daily Post and Liverpool Echo are published six days a week by Trinity Mirror. Liverpool Echo has the second largest circulation of any evening newspaper in the UK, after London’s Evening Standard.
