Long-term agony aunt and columnist leaves the Daily Record
Daily Record agony-aunt and columnist Joan Burnie has retired after 35 years of service.
An article from the paper said: “In three decades of Just Joan, she has handed out her no-nonsense wisdom against a background of an ever-changing world.
“Joan helped people deal with the difficulties that accompanied these changes, like people struggling with their sexuality, unplanned pregnancies, domestic abuse and debt. Fearless and outspoken, she has always been honest and never shied away from telling it like it is.”
