Lsect launches FE Week

Learning and skills events, consultancy and training ltd (Lsect) has launched a new weekly newspaper aimed at the further education (FE) and skills training sector, FE Week.

The first edition of the new title, which has been sent out to over 3,000 UK colleges, training providers, government representatives and related companies, is devoted to the burgeoning sector, and includes contributions from FE Week staff, experts from within the FE sector and well known national education freelancers.

FE Week is also freely available online with the website offering traditional web browser layout and a print replica e-edition.

In FE Week’s first edition, its main news article is about criticism of the government’s apprenticeship policies written by Nick Summers, one of FE Week’s staff journalists, whilst its main feature is a profile of Dame Ruth Silver by Janet Murray, a national education journalist who writes for The Guardian. Other contributors to the newspaper include Ian Nash, Mick Fletcher and Nick Reinis.

There’s also a special twitter supplement and a podcast about the social
media tool here www.feweek.co.uk/twitterguide.pdf.
