Shropshire newspaper the Ludlow Journal has now closed. It printed its last edition on Friday 2 July.

Existing sister paper the South Shropshire Journal is to take over the role of the now defunct weekly freesheet.

News items relevant to the South Shropshire area should be sent to chief reporter, Jean Kingdon.

The Ludlow Journal was part of South Shropshire Journals, a subsidiary of Midlands News Association, which also publishes the Shropshire star.
