Manchester branch offices to close

Six Guardian Media Group branch offices in Manchester are set to close, and their staff relocated to neighbouring towns.

Papers including the Heywood Advertiser and Middleton Guardian will now be produced at the Rochdale Observer offices, whilst the Metro News and South Manchester Reporter move to Stockport. Didsbury, Beswick and Acrington also move.

The Wilmslow Express will merge with the Macclesfield Express.
