Jane Manning has been appointed editor in chief of Kent Regional News and Media (KRN Media).

Manning began in the post this week and has left the Scunthorpe Telegraph where she was editor.

Deputy editor Dave Atkins is acting editor until a successor is appointed.

KRN Media is owned by Northcliffe the regional arm of DMGT and publishes local newspapers including the Folkstone Herald and East Kent Gazette.
