Dennis Publishing has appointed Michale Donlevy as editor of Maxim.

Donlevy joins the magazine from another Dennis title, Men’s Fitness, where he is deputy editor.

In his new role Donlevy will be overseeing the Maxim website and trying to make the magazine more service led.

Donlevy said: “The mass market men’s market has changed enormously in the past few years, and men have access to the internet and mobile content that didn’t exist in 1997. Maxim offers its readers fantastic digital content and I want Maxim magazine to offer more than you can find in any other mass market men’s monthly or weekly magazine. The best, quirkiest news, investigative features, in-depth reviews, oh, and women that make you actually want to know them!”

Donlevy starts in his new role in early October replacing former editor Derek Harbinson.
