Media Wales appoints online communities editor

Media Wales has appointed Ed Walker as online communities editor.

Walker, who started his role on 11 January, works across WalesOnline.co.uk, South Wales Echo and the Western Mail aiming to “connect with communities in Cardiff both online and offline and to drive traffic to the Cardiff section of the website”.

Ed Walker was previously web and digital marketing co-ordinator for the University of Central Lancashire Students’ Union, and has run the community journalism blogs Blog Local and Blog Preston.

Media Wales is a subsidiary of Trinty Mirror which produces daily and weekly titles for Wales.
