Natmag’s has appointed Jonathan Thompson as commissioning editor of Men’s Health.

Thompson’s role includes responsibility for the front section of the magazine and a remit to write features throughout the rest of the title.

Prior to joining Men’s health Thompson was at The Independent for nearly eight years. Initially as a feature writer on the Sports Active section and then as a news reporter.

Thompson said: “I would welcome any ideas or pitches from PRs on any of the following 12 core topics for the front section: health, style, fitness, food, gear, looks, mind, muscle, sex, wealth, weightloss and work.”
