Mercieca Ltd hires five new recruits to work across growing client portfolio

Mercieca Ltd has announced the addition of five new team members to its communications, public relations and creative divisions.

Andrea Opsahl has joined the communications team as senior account manager to work across a number of key clients including Coca-Cola Enterprises, GSK and Diageo. Opsahl previously worked at Bezier, managing the fast paced LA fitness and Mars accounts.

James Henson has also been appointed as a senior account manager in the communications team to work across a number of key clients including Speedo, The Dorchester and Just Eat. Henson has through-the-line experience, following five years working in New Zealand for DDB on their Sky Television and Telecom New Zealand accounts.

The third addition is Alana Tapsell, who joins the PR department as an account executive following FMCG consumer experience at FML Public Relations, where she worked on Merrydown Cider, British Turkey, The English Provender Company and Kikkoman Soy Sauce.

Finally, two new senior creatives have also been appointed. Pete Calvert comes from a consumer advertising background, working in both Leeds and Manchester for Propaganda on brands including GHD, Greggs, North Face and Fox’s Biscuits. Mike Laloe worked for Mercieca between 2004 and 2007, and left to make independent films. He previously worked for Middle East advertising agency Adabisc Future Quatar.

The communications agency aims to expand further over the coming months.
