Mr Chipp retires from Oxford Mail

Oxford Mail assistant editor John Chipperfield retired on Tuesday after 44 years with the paper.

He began his career at the Mail covering football matches when he was 16 years old later becoming news editor and finally assistant editor.

Chipperfield will continue to edit the Memory Lane pages.
