Robert Watts, The Sunday Telegraph’s Whitehall correspondent, is leaving the paper to join The Sunday Times as social affairs correspondent.

The Sunday Business Post has appointed news features editor Gavin Daly as news editor, replacing Simon Carswell who left to join the Irish Times.

Tony Major, the FT’s financial news editor, has been promoted to visual director. Tony Tassell, the FT’s assistant news editor, will replace Major as financial news editor.

The Sunday Herald has appointed The Scotsman’s business correspondent Colin Donald as business editor.
