The Guardian has named Julia Finch as deputy business editor.

Finch was City editor at the paper and will deputise Dan Roberts who is head of business. Roberts takes over Deborah Hargreaves’ responsibilities after she took voluntary redundancy from her position as business editor earlier this year.

Philip Inman and Katie Allen have also taken on new roles at the paper, joining the economics team as correspondents; their roles were business correspondent and media business correspondent respectively.
