Editor takes on West Country weeklies

Newsquest South West has appointed Paul Jones as editor across the Somerset County Gazette and its sister publications the Bridgwater Mercury, Mid Devon Star, Chard & Ilminster News, and Burnham & Highbridge Weekly News.

Jones was promoted on 29 February from his news and production editor role at the publication. He replaces former editor Zena O’Rourke, who left the paper in December 2015.
