New year, new editor at Bolton News

The Bolton News has appointed Ian Savage as editor in chief.

Savage, who was previously editor of the Bury Times, joined the paper on 2 January. He replaces Steve Hughes, who left the title to become managing director of Newsquest York.

The Bury Times has not yet appointed a new editor.

The Bolton News is published daily from Monday to Saturday, and the Bury Times is published weekly on Thursdays both by Newsquest Lancashire.
