News desk changes at Bristol Evening Post

There have been some staff changes at the Bristol Evening Post.

Following the departure of assistant news editor Simon Peevers on 3 April, Steve Mellen and Rob Perkins have swapped roles to become news editor and sports editor, respectively.

Chris Allen, former crime reporter, has replaced Ian Onions as deputy news editor, who is now political correspondent.

Deputy editor Rob Stokes is currently working on the news desk ‘for the foreseeable future’.
