Nine Trinity Mirror titles to close
Regional publisher Trinity Mirror has proposed the closures of nine newspapers.
Midlands titles the Lichfield Post, Tamworth Times, Burton Trader, Walsall Observer, Loughborough Trader Xtra, Ashby Trader & Echo and Coalville Echo are to close.
As a result, offices in Burton and Walsall will be closed and a number of redundancies made.
Coventry newspapers the Rugby Times and the Bedworth Echo will also close, as well as niche publications the Earlsdon Blog and Farm Ad.
There is also a proposal to merge Solihull News and Solihull Times and have a single editor oversee these titles along with the Sutton Coldfield News.
