NME Radio will be broadcasting across London during March 2009.

Running from 2-29 of March on 87.7FM, the station will feature a mix of gig and festival news, live sessions and alternative music.

Sammy Jacob, managing editor, believes it will “create another opportunity for traditional analogue listeners to sample the station, which they can thereafter access on various digital platforms”.

The radio station for NME is currently available with a number of digital packages as well as on the NME website.

NME.com is also expanding its focus in 2009, with a planned move into film, hardware, technology, gaming, fashion and entertainment coverage.
