Observer Whitehall editor to work for government

The Observer Whitehall editor, Jo Revill is leaving to work for the health secretary, Alan Johnson.

Revill will join the civil service in July and work as a strategic communications adviser to Johnson.

Prior to joining the Observer as health editor five and a half years ago, Revill worked at the London Evening Standard as health editor and a lobby correspondent.
