Oliver Marre to become deputy books editor at The Observer

Oliver Marre, currently the editor of society column Pendennis in The Observer, is to become deputy books editor at the paper on the 30 March.

He will take over from Olivia Laing who is leaving to pursue a freelance career specialising in art and books.
