Onlinefire‘s director of business strategy, Alasdair Townsend, has been successfully co-opted onto the Direct Marketing Association’s (DMA) Social Media Council.

Townsend’s role on the Social Media Council will involve working on and driving a variety of initiatives, attending monthly meetings of the Communications Hub, liaising with the DMA and its members and providing regular updates to the DMA Council.

Townsend joined thriving social media agency, Onlinefire, part of the Eulogy! Group, in April 2011 and since his arrival has been instrumental in developing and implementing social media programmes for a wide range of clients such as directferries.com, Sixt, Apollo Cinemas, Paramount Home Entertainment and Panasonic.
