Bauer’s South Yorkshire stations, Hallam FM and Magic AM, have appointed Owen Ryan as programme director.

Ryan lived and worked in Australia for four years as content director for both Mix 106.5 in Sydney and Mix 101.1 in Melbourne. He was also deputy programme director for Hallam FM between 2002 and 2005.

Ryan replaces programme director Anthony Gay who leaves Bauer this week after 18 years with the company, to become the European director of ReelWorld productions and Pure Tonic Media.

Owen Ryan will takes up the new role with Hallam FM and Magic AM at the end of January 2012.
