Panorama editor leaving to conduct review of BBC Current Affairs
Panorama editor Tom Giles is to leave after four years. He will step down from the position next month before taking up a senior role at the BBC in the autumn.
From next month, Giles will lead a review into current affairs output across BBC television, radio and online.
Head of programmes Ceri Thomas will become Panorama editor for six months until a permanent appointment is made following Giles' review.
